NH Research 9300-800 High-Voltage Battery Test System
Designed for quick and effective battery testing, the NHR 9300-800 High-Voltage Battery Test System is a fully programmable, bi-directional DC source. It supports a variety of modes, including constant voltage, current, and power control restrictions, and functions as a regenerative DC load during discharge, allowing for reversible current flow. It is extensively utilized in a variety of industries, including as the automotive, aviation, heavy industrial, and grid storage, for testing batteries, fuel cells, ultra-capacitors, and other energy storage devices. Three main uses for it are charger testing, battery emulation, and battery charge/discharge cycling.
The NHR 9300-800 has a power rating of 800 kW, and it can manage a maximum current of 1,336A at 1,200V and 2,664A at 600V. Because of its multiple voltage ranges, this system can be used for both high-power and low-power applications. By paralleling up to 24 cabinets, each generating 100kW, it allows for extension up to 2.4 MW. It provides flexible and scalable setups. Up to 333A can be supplied by each cabinet, and the system has a high regenerative power efficiency—typically exceeding 95%.
Advanced features such a quick transient response with a slew rate of less than 2 milliseconds, built-in battery cycling functionalities, and 100% silicon carbide (SiC)-based technology are all integrated into the 9300-800. Pre-charge circuits, inbuilt isolation relays, and reverse polarity checkers all support these features. With the help of a touch panel, LabVIEW, IVI drivers, and SCPI, the system provides a multitude of control options that allow for customizable testing setups. It can simulate a variety of drive cycles, including FUDS, SFUDS, WLDC, and more, and is compatible with battery test software like NI's BTS or NHR's Enerchron.
In order to guarantee security, the NHR 9300-800 incorporates programmed safety limits, over-voltage, over-current, and over-temperature protections, as well as isolation between the mains and UUT. Additional features that improve reliability are self-testing, emergency stops, and external interlocks.
